What is a Certified Non-Hospital Centre?

A certified non-hospital surgical facility is a centre that has been approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons to perform surgery under intra-venous sedation and general anesthesia outside a hospital setting. Very stringent standards must be obtained and maintained in order to receive this certification.

The benefit to our patients is that they can have procedures such laser scar revision, birthmark removal and laser facial rejuvenation, to name a few, performed while sedated and under the care of an anesthesiologist.

Our anesthesiologists all have their Canadian Fellowships in Anesthesiology and are committed to ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. To this end only the

most effective anesthetic medications are used. This significantly improves the recovery time and contributes to the overall well being of our patients.
